Sept 11th – NOLA THEISS, Human Trafficking Awareness Program

ABWA Imperial River Chapter presents Nola Theiss speaking on human trafficking awareness, Wednesday September 11th 2019, 6-8 PM at Holiday Inn Fort Myers Airport @ Town Center, 9931 Interstate Commerce Dr, Fort Myers, FL 33913.  Tickets are $35 at Eventbrite, which includes dinner. 

NOLA THEISS has worked for 15 years raising awareness of human trafficking. She is semi-retired as the Founder and Executive Director of   the Fort Myers-based Human Trafficking Awareness Partnerships (HTAP) . Theiss still offers her consulting services to the organization. A former council member and Mayor of the City of Sanibel, she has also been involved with Zonta International as a leader and volunteer. Theiss has traveled the country to speak, authoring articles about human rights and earning nominations and awards for her work, including the 2015 WGCU Makers Award. Theiss holds a BA, English from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, an MLA, Liberal Arts from Johns Hopkins University, and earned her MPA, Public Administration from Florida Gulf Coast University.
